Ellen Shaffrey, MD
Plastic Surgery Resident
Ellen loves how plastic surgery embodies the liberal arts. You build off of fundamental and use creativity to find solutions to complex surgical problems. Ellen grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia and played lacrosse for the College of William and Mary. She returned to Charlottesville for medical school at the University of Virginia. In residency, her favorite pastimes are playing sports and wine tasting. Her research focuses so far include residency education and breast reconstruction outcomes.
