Alyssa Wiener, MD

General Surgery Resident

Alyssa Wiener is from Boulder, Colorado. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and English from the University of Colorado, CO (2012) graduating summa cum laude. She attended medical school at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, IL (2018). In her free time, she enjoys cooking, exercising, reading, and exploring local parks/prairies.

After completing two years of general surgery residency, Alyssa is now a WiSOR research fellow in Dr. Heather Neuman’s lab working on projects in breast cancer and melanoma. Alyssa will gain experience in database research, clinical trial design and execution, qualitative research, and implementation research during her time as a WiSOR fellow.
