Katya Garza, MS, MPH

Researcher I

Katya Garza is a Researcher I in the Wisconsin Surgical Outcomes Program (WiSOR) in the Department of Surgery. She earned her Master of Public Health in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from Tufts University School of Public Health, as well as her Master of Science in Biomedical Science. As a member of the Voils’ team, she has had the opportunity to work on multiple VA and NIH research studies. In the past, she has conducted qualitative and quantitative research at Wisconsin Alzheimer’s Institute and Massachusetts General Hospital. She is passionate about increasing the recruitment and retention of diverse population in clinical research in order to improve health outcomes.

In her free time, Katya enjoys reading and going to concerts!
