Dr. Werner is certified by the American Board of Surgery for General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. She specializes in the treatment of the traumatically injured, critical care, and general surgical emergencies.

Research Interests

Dr. Werner is interested in chest wall injury and management, traumatic abdominal and pelvic injury, and long-term patient outcomes after critical illness. She also is interested in surgical education, specifically creating simulation of high-pressure clinical scenarios.
