Diana Gutierrez-Meza, MPH

Researcher II

Diana Gutierrez-Meza is a bilingual health services researcher at WiSOR with a background in public health, global health, and qualitative research. Her graduate studies concentrated on the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health programs in diverse communities. Diana’s international field work focused on the development of cultural competence trainings for health professionals in Porto Alegre, Brazil. Prior to joining WiSOR, Diana spent 4.5 years managing qualitative studies on a range of topics encompassing health disparities, implementation science, patient-centered surgical outcomes, patient engagement, and health care quality measures. During this time, she gained expertise in project management, NVivo Software, and qualitative research methods including data collection design, in-person and virtual interviews and focus groups, codebook development, coding, and qualitative writing/reporting. Currently, Diana works with Dr. Angela Ingraham’s research team and provides research support to the Qualitative Core.
