Clinical Specialties

Dr. Melnick is certified by the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He treats a broad range of elective and emergency general surgical conditions with special interests in breast cancer, gallbladder disease, hernias, and dialysis access. He directs the medical student and resident rotations at Unity Point-Meriter Hospital and also operates at Madison Surgery Center and occasionally at UW Hospital and The American Center. He has a research interest in opioid use in the surgical patient. He sees patients at One South Park Street in Madison.
