David Upton, MD, has been promoted to Clinical Associate Professor, effective July 1, 2018. He is the Chair of Otolaryngology at Meriter, and the Director of the Otolaryngology Residency program at 1 S. Park, where he is also the physician dyad leader. Dr. Upton is an expert in treating obstructive sleep apnea. He developed a custom therapeutic mandibular device program to treat this condition, and was the first UW surgeon to develop a drug-induced sleep endoscopy to see site obstruction in patients with sleep apnea. He is the otolaryngology site coordinator for the UW SMPH Sleep Medicine Fellowship. Congratulations, Dr. Upton!
